Recent WorkCover reforms in Victoria, including changes effective from March 2024 and August 2025, have significantly reshaped the scheme. These reforms affect weekly payments, mental injury claims, death benefits, and employer obligations.

Key changes include a new requirement that workers have at least 21% Whole Person Impairment (WPI) to continue receiving weekly payments after 130 weeks, stricter eligibility criteria for mental injury claims (including a requirement that employment be the strongest contributing cause), and enhanced support for families following a work-related death.
